FRONT VIEW
The lakefront corner-lot site of this house created a situation where there are three front facades. This view in-the-round gave an opportunity to create an abstract formal expression. -
LAKE VIEW
The form of the building was derived from the very literal condition of the zoning envelope. From there the volume was subtracted where programmatically necessary, and to sculpt a massing the references a nautical shape. -
INTERIORS
Once entered the home opens up to a two-story living area. Several of the building features are tied together by a long ribbon-like wooden form that creates an abstract three dimensional labyrinth - Labyrinths have a spiritual significance for the home owner.
